About Us  

Hello and thank you for stopping and taking a look at the "Robbins Nest" devoted to the beautiful Shih-Tzu breed.  My name is Thressa Robbins of Swartz Creek, Michigan and I have been involved with this breed for a number of years now.  My husband Jarrod and my 3 children help me with all of the work that is involved with having these great animals in our home.  None of them live in kennels, they are a part of our family! 

 I purchased my first Shih-Tzu, Maggie, in 1997 and have been hooked since. Maggie is spayed and acts only as our mascot and QUEEN of the house, of course.  She is the reason for my love of the breed and although she has never produced a litter of pups, she will always be in our lives.   *UPDATE*   My Maggie passed away on October 14, 2007. She will forever live in our hearts & memory.

I have previously worked for a very reputable animal hospital in Michigan for over 7 years, therefore, I am able to give all my puppies the utmost care.  I now devote all my time to my kids (both furry & non) ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of the time and stay at home, but thanks to the "Animal Hospital" I have great knowledge & care that I carry with me. Any puppy that is sold by me will be thoroughly examined by a fully certified and licensed veterinarian and will be given all de-worming medication and vaccines needed before going home at no earlier than 8 weeks of age (depending on the maturity and growth of each puppy).

Here at the "Robbins Nest", we specialize in the "exotic" colors such as solid whites, chocolates, blues, reds, silvers and blacks, however we do produce all colors.  The quality of our Shih-Tzu's along with the health and temperament are just as important to us as our own children's. 

All of my Shih-Tzu's are AKC registered and come fully socialized to your home.  Prices on my available puppies reflect "Limited Registration" unless further arrangements have been made at time of sale. "Full Registration" can be purchased for an additional amount to proven reputable breeders if the puppy is of show or breeding quality. We Do Not and Will Not sell to puppy mills, brokers or backyard breeders.
